Don McMurry
Don is the Campus Pastor at the One Church Barfield Campus. He is passionate about seeing people come to know Christ and seeing them develop in their relationship with Him. Don has a pastor’s heart that seeks to encourage, minister to, and be available for people.
Don and his wife, Heather, have four grown children who are all married. So far, he has one precious granddaughter who gets anything she wants! Heather is in her 19th year as an educator at Providence Christian Academy.
He graduated from Carson-Newman University with a degree in History, then went to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity degree.
Over the last 35 years, Don has been in full-time ministry, bivocational ministry, taught school, and worked in the insurance industry. Having been a member of One Church for over 10 years, Don is excited about the opportunity God has provided for him to be the full-time Campus Pastor.
Faith is a journey, not a finish line. No matter where you are right now, there’s a next step that can help you grow closer to Jesus and deeper in community. Whether it’s getting baptized, joining a connect group, serving on a team, or simply learning more about Jesus, we’d love to walk alongside you.
